  Custard PieYield: 1 pie

  Ingredients  
  • pastry, for 1-crust 9-inch pie
  • 3    eggs
  • 6  tablespoon  sugar
  • 1/4  teaspoon  salt
  • 3  cup hot milk
  • 1  teaspoon  vanilla
  • nutmeg

  Directions  
  • Set oven for hot, 425f.
  • Line 9- inch pie pan with pastry.
  • Beat eggs slightly; stir in sugar and salt.
  • Add milk gradually, mixing thoroughly.
  • Stir in vanilla.
  • Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  • Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  • Bake 40 minutes, or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
