Custard PieYield: 1 pie
Ingredients - pastry, for 1-crust 9-inch pie
- 3 eggs
- 6 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cup hot milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- nutmeg
Directions - Set oven for hot, 425f.
- Line 9- inch pie pan with pastry.
- Beat eggs slightly; stir in sugar and salt.
- Add milk gradually, mixing thoroughly.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Bake 40 minutes, or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
