French Cookies
Ingredients - 1 pound butter, (2 cups) or 1 pint shortening
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cup pastry, flour
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
Directions - Have a dredge filled with powdered sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, and when the cookies come from the oven dip a brush in melted butter and go over them and sprinkle on sugar and spice.
- Cool and put in jar alone.
