STANDARD ONE-EGG CAKE 1½ cups sifted all-purpose flour 2½ teaspoons baking powder ½ teaspoon salt ⅓ cup butter ⅔ cup sugar 1 egg ½ cup milk ¾ teaspoon vanilla
Sift flour with baking powder and salt three times.
Cream butter, add sugar gradually, beat. Add beaten egg.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Beat. Addvanilla. Bake at 350° F. for 30 minutes.
