[*]1poundbutter, (2 cups) or 1 pint shortening
[*]1poundpowdered sugar
[*]4 eggs, beaten
[*]2teaspoonvanilla
[*]3cuppastry, flour
[*]3teaspoonbaking powder
Directions
[*]Have a dredge filled with powdered sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, and when the cookies come from the oven dip a brush in melted butter and go over them and sprinkle on sugar and spice.
[*]Cool and put in jar alone.
