Ginger SnapsIngredients
[*]1cupmolasses
[*]1/2cupsugar
[*]1/2cupbutter, or lard
[*]1/2cup warm water
[*]1teaspoonbaking soda, (pearlash equivalent)
[*]1tablespoonginger
[*]1teaspoonsalt, if lard is used
Directions
[*]Put molasses, sugar and ginger together, rub pearlash fine and stir into them.
[*]When it foams, add water and lard, then flour enough for a stiff dough.
[*]Knead well, roll into thin sheets and bake at 350°
