Chocolate Refridgerator Cookies
CHOCOLATE REFRIGERATOR COOKIES½ cup butter1½ cups brown sugar1 egg, unbeaten1 teaspoon vanilla2 cups sifted all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking powder¼ teaspoon salt1 Economy Size Bar (7 oz.) Nestlé’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate1 cup chopped walnutsCut chocolate into pieces the size of a pea.
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add unbeaten eggand mix until smooth. Sift together flour, baking powder andsalt three times. Add to butter and sugar mixture.
Add chocolate pieces and nuts to the mixture. Shape doughinto a firm roll about 2 inches in diameter.
Roll tightly in wax paper and store in refrigerator untilready to bake.
Cut in ¼-inch slices. Bake at 350° F. 15 to 20 minutes.
