Regarding the development direction of pinebk, we seek opinions from all members

Our initial plan is to develop pinebk into a legitimate data download site that doesn't infringe on copyright. For example, we could download recipes, sheet music, and other materials. We haven't figured out a specific direction for development yet, so I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Maybe to make it easier and faster to get credits and transfer to pindiy. I am not sure why to create extra complications to get these pins if all the content about crochet and knitting is on the other website

3d printing files (stl, 3mf). That would be quite popular and would actually bring men to the site. Even free files are going to be very popular at some point.

Movies/videos are going to be a pain only because of the size. Often up to and more than a gig even with compression.
Music is much easier and smaller files and actually easy to rip or convert.


Graphics, specifically svg. Svg are used most commonly for Cricut and Sillouette craft cutting machines and laser cutters. Psd and ai files are higher end graphics for Adobe products, they can be larger files of course depending on dpi but might be doable. Png might also be suitable but youd have to zip so not direct download.
Currently none are really on Pindiy.  It is something you could add there though, if not here. There are tons of crafters who own and use one or more of the machines and use them regularly.

Maybe games and software. Again, size might be an issue on some but not all.

FYI, in the USA  recipes can not have a copyright, only the instructions themselves. See link below. So one can actually give an ingredient list without copyright issues.

I agree about adding 3d print files! A lot of crocheters and other crafters also use custom 3d printed parts/tools.

I had another thought, fonts. Individuals who craft, digital art, tattoos and or do cookie decorating are always looking for fonts. There are numerous categories for art and crafts that aren't in pindiy that might be worth looking into for here, there, or even another bbs.

fonts are an awesome idea as someone who is into graphic design and digital art as a hobby

Well, we already have all kind of crafts on pindiy and books/comics on ebooksite, you might consider something with music or films.
It must be something we don't already have on both other sites.

I think crochet posts have helped mena lot! He is very good with it too but he has been a little more active on his feet and I don’t know how he feels now but he has been able too and
