I mean, it definetly depends on wha you're making. But I'm making a moby sweater after downloading the men, child and baby size, that don't come when you purchase the female adult pattern. That already is a problem for me. The instructions are, quite literally, the same, except the moss stitches are increased!

And I'm stuck at... the gauge! There is like two lines on how to make the gauge swatch. I'm very lost as I don't know where to even begin. I'm glad she's popular, only because so many people have run into the same problem and can help!

Sure, her style is pretty but dang, is it really worth it?

I think people get stuck on a certain designer and feel like they must keep up with everyone else in making that designer's patterns.  Stephen West, Purl Soho come to mind in that category.  There are so many other designers not as well known that have great patterns.

You're very right. I feel like a lot of people get FOMO with these big name designers. It reminds me of the whole sophie scarf trend. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty knit and seeing all the rolled up scarves was nice but... I can't think of where I would wear that tiny little scarf. Maybe it'll come back in fashion!

Yeah, I agree. The patterns aren’t that clear. Too vague for beginners, sometimes too wordy for advanced knitters. I bought the sophie scarf pattern when I had just started knitting… I feel ripped off… Her pieces look nice.
Also I hate how she has different patterns for
men version
short sleeves
cardigan
sweater
mohair held double
other yarn option
v neck vs o neck

these should all be in a pattern. i will never buy patterns from PK again just out of spite. But I do like the designs

Oh gosh, same! Never buying again. Luckily all her patterns are on pindiy if I ever really want one, and there's loads of designers who also make simple designs like hers.
