Big Tabby Cat Blog #3 - The Nearly Great Escape

Myself, Black Cat and Tiny Tabby plotted all day yesterday, between naps of course, on how to escape. Black cat suggested we try a window. I reminded him that the humans don't open them enough to get through the small area that the humans leave open. Many moons ago a group of 3 and a tiny dog tried that method when the humans went to the big place they get our food from. One of the very big cats popped out the screen and nearly every cat escaped. The tiny dog jumped on the humans chair next to the window and escaped. The Humans found them casually strolling out in the big yard and brought them back inside. Since that day all windows aren't opened more than an inch. Tiny Tabby is so tiny that she could go through the gap.
While napping Black Cat pounced on me. "Get up!! I found an escape route!". I awoke from my slumber listening intently.
The Humans left the glass door open, the screen was closed, but we can work with it.
The three of us gathered, it was still dark, good thing we can see in the dark. The light over the big square thing that they make food on was also lit, giving us a better view of the situation.
We discussed scratching the fabric open. "No, that won't work, the Humans put a special fabric on many moons ago because a former feline had done just that. Keep thinking" I said.
Tiny Tabby, the smartest of us all, said "What if we use our paws and try to pull away the door? We could then pass through."
"Brilliant!" I exclaimed.
Tiny Tabby tried first, her paws were small. She scratched and pulled at the bottom of the door. Next, Black Cat tried. The door slightly pulled away. Finally, after many hours and many naps, I tried and tried until it magically pulled away leaving a small opening to escape!
"Hurry, the Humans will come to feed us soon!" I meowed. Too late! I heard the Human arise from bed. "Quick, hide!" We scattered to our secret hiding places.
The human came to the kitchen and was talking to herself. Pondering what happened to the screen door and to our dismay fixed our escape route! She yelled for us and sheepishly we came out of our hiding places. We were busted and Human looked unhappy then closed the glass door.
Foiled again! I shall not give up. Time for a new plan, but not until I eat and take a nap. I shall dream of Chipmunks and the Big Red Birds that also like the sunflower seeds. They have been taunting us as well. They have no sympathy for us, they are so cruel!
