Ingredients
[*]1/2poundmarshmallows, cut into pieces
[*]1 can pineapples, cut in pieces
[*]1/2poundpecans
Directions
[*]Cut marshmallows in small pieces ; soak in juice of pineapple for several hours or all night.
[*]Cut pineapple into small pieces and pecan nuts into halves.
[*]Drain pineapple and marshmallows dry.
[*]Serve with marshmallow and pineapple dressing.
Boiled Dressing for Marshmallow Pineapple Salad
Ingredients
1/3 tablespoon flour
2/3 tablespoon sugar
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon dry mustard
1/3 teaspoon butter
2 egg yolks
1 2/3 tablespoon vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoon cream
Directions
Mix dry ingredients ; then add butter and eggs and vinegar and cook in double boiler till thick.
Cool and add enough cream to beat smooth.
When cold, add best of cream, whipped stiff.
Put in ice-box for several hours before serving.
