Chocolate Macaroons

CHOCOLATE MACAROONS2 egg whites½ cup sugar¼ teaspoon salt½ teaspoon vanilla1 Economy Size Bar (7 oz.) Semi-Sweet Chocolate or chips1½ cups cocoanut, shredded
Melt chocolate in double boiler.
Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually sift in sugar, beatingafter each addition, until mixture is smooth.
Continue beating until mixture stands in peaks. Add saltand vanilla, and fold in melted chocolate.
Add cocoanut. Mix and drop in small mounds onto ungreasedbrown paper.
Bake in slow oven 325° F. for 20 minutes. Cool a fewminutes before removing from paper.
